Kirton Lindsey
Primary Academy

Kirton Lindsey Primary School has long been a cornerstone of education in the historic market town of Kirton in Lindsey, with roots tracing back over a century. The school moved to its current site in 1986, offering a spacious and well-equipped environment for learning. It became an academy in 2025 and joined Isle Education Trust at the same time embracing a shared vision of excellence, inclusion, and community. The academy caters for approximately 210 pupils from age 4 to 11, fostering a nurturing atmosphere where children are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally within a close-knit and caring school family.

Principal's Welcome

It is my great pleasure to introduce you to Kirton Lindsey Primary Academy. I hope that the information presented on the website will give you an insight into life at our school.

We aim to create a happy and safe environment in which children are encouraged to develop to their full potential. The academic achievement and pastoral care of our children are our main priorities and we firmly believe that Every Child Can; that is, all children can be successful when given highly effective teaching, support and opportunity.

Our specialist staff team work hard to ensure that children are happy and enjoy their learning so that that they are not afraid to take calculated risks and that they learn from their own mistakes. We plan our curriculum and enrichment to encourage all our children to develop into well-rounded individuals with aspirations of their own and to be the best that they can be.

We have high expectations of and for all of our children.  We expect them to share and show our mindset of Excellence for All through: Working Hard, Being Kind and Shining Bright. We encourage our children to participate in the wide range of performing and creative arts we offer. We encourage participation in our wider enrichment programme which includes music tuition and drama performance as well as day and residential visits.

We strongly believe that children thrive in an orderly, safe and disciplined learning environment. We encourage our children to respect themselves, each other and the world we live in. We also teach them about tolerance and mutual respect of different cultures and faiths and the skills needed to thrive in a modern society.

Success is built upon partnerships and the academy is part of Isle Education Trust (IET), along with South Axholme Academy, Coritani Academy, Burton Stather Primary Academy and Alkborough Primary Academy.

Parents are welcome in the academy and we encourage them to become fully involved in their child's education.

I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Mr Andy Marshall

Principal
